Turn back the clock on your vision.

When you undergo cataract surgery, your natural lens is replaced with an artificial implant called an intraocular lens (IOL). A standard intraocular lens maximizes your distance vision. This means that you would still need glasses to see close up for reading or computer use. Since standard IOLs are only monofocal, they only correct the vision in one focal plane and do not address the presbyobic state of the eye. As a result, Presbyopia is not corrected in standard cataract surgery with standard IOLs.

Patients now have the option to choose Premium multifocal lenses (Premium IOLs). This exciting new development allows you to see well without glasses for both close-up and distance vision.

Please note that astigmatism can be treated with a toric lens. Click here for more information on Toric Lenses for Astigmatism.
