Find Relief From Dry Eyes This Fall

We’ve all waited for this moment. A time when summer would end, and fall would begin. And now—it’s finally here! The temperatures are finally (and slowly!) starting to come down. While this is wonderful for our ability to spend more than five minutes outside, it isn’t as great for our eyes that could start drying out due to the season change. Fortunately, you don’t have to suffer for long with these tips!

Say Goodbye to Dry Eyes

If you thought with summer ending that allergies did too, then guess again. Unfortunately, an entirely new allergy season is about to show its ugly head, but that doesn’t mean you have to stand there and suffer because of it. Instead, take action by scheduling an eye exam. During your appointment, our friendly and experienced vision care staff can help you in deciding the best course of treatment, including the right artificial tears.

When at home, humidifiers are a wonderful tool you can use to help add moisture back into the air. These are safe for both adults and children!

What you eat and drink is also important to your eye health this time of year. Make sure to drink plenty of water and eat water-rich foods in order to keep your body—and eyes—hydrated. In addition, eat foods that include vitamins A, C and E. Spinach, broccoli, bananas, avocados, blueberries and salmon are among the delicious options.
